Little Sparks, Big Starts for Schools

Lesson plans designed for KS2 and KS3 pupils and are linked to the PSHE Association Programme of Study and the Science National Curriculum. The resources aim to educate pupils about healthy brain connections that support better wellbeing.

These resources have been adapted from the SEEN (Secondary Education around Early Neurodevelopment) programme.

What's available?

  • One ready-to-go assembly introducing the topic of brain development.

  • Key Stage 2: One streamlined lesson plan that takes 45-50 minutes to deliver. Alternatively deliver the lesson across two lessons, including optional extension activities. The lesson plan PowerPoint includes curriculum links, learning outcomes and teacher delivery notes. 

  • Key Stage 3: One streamlined lesson plan that takes 45 - 50 minutes to deliver. Alternatively deliver the lesson across two lessons, including optional extension activities. The lesson plan PowerPoint includes curriculum links, learning outcomes and teacher delivery notes.
